PRAISES

v      My extended family grew by one when my older sister’s middle daughter, Jill Barnett, married George Nalywaiko on June 30. The wedding took place in Anderson, Indiana. It was a lovely time of reconnecting with my sisters and their children, along with great nieces and nephews. Pray for this new couple as they seek to establish a home that will honor the Lord.

v      The BI family again enjoyed a wonderful time at our annual meeting August 20-22. Along with a review of the past year’s accomplishments, we were also blessed by the Bible teaching of Dr. Robert Vincent of Greenville, South Carolina. As always, the meeting was held at a beautiful bed-and-breakfast outside of White Cloud, Michigan. I believe each one of us left there physically and spiritually strengthened.

v      Recently one of our teams returned from an overseas trip. While on the trip, one of the men went out to buy bread for their breakfast and was accosted on the street by a knife-wielding robber. The Lord enabled our consultant to thwart the thief’s efforts in spite of the six inch knife he wielded. When we hear stories of God’s care for our team members, we are particularly thankful for His loving hand of protection watching over all of us. We appreciate your prayers for the safety of these people.

v      The Lord allowed me to purchase a new-to-me vehicle. It has low mileage and provides improved gas mileage.

v      We now have a new man who has joined our team, Dr. Troy Manning. He will be leading the Text Production Department when he has completed gathering his support team and taking some additional classes. Pray with us that he will be able to finish those things soon.

PRAYER

v      Our Ladies’ Bible Study has resumed for this year. Pray for us as we study ministry in the body of Christ.

v      I continue translating a linguistics manual from French to English. It will be used to teach advanced translation technique and terminology. Please pray as I persist in this work.

v      My apartment is still not rented. I would appreciate your prayers regarding this.

v      Pray for my Emmanuel as he prepares to start another year at school. Pray that he will stay pure and have a heart for God.

v      We have several empty positions in our office here in Grand Rapids. Pray with us for the Lord’s provision of just the right personnel to fill those positions.

Even though you don’t work in our Grand Rapids office, you are as surely a part of the team as anyone here. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of carrying on this work.

Serving together with you and Him,
